Sarah Pender, also known as Sarah Jo Pender, is an American woman who was convicted of double murder in 2002. She was involved in a complex crime in Indianapolis, Indiana in which she conspired with her boyfriend, Richard Hull, to murder her roommates, Andrew Cataldi and Tricia Nordman.
Pender and Hull lured Cataldi and Nordman to their apartment, where they were both shot and killed. Pender was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and sentenced to 110 years in prison. However, she managed to escape from prison in December 2008 and was on the run for several months before being recaptured in July 2009.
Pender's case gained national attention due to the details of the crime and her escape from prison. She has maintained her innocence throughout the years and continues to appeal her conviction. Pender's story has been the subject of numerous documentaries and true crime shows.
